We need your support to Treanslate the Bible into the Bandi Language

About the Project

The Bandi people of Liberia are located mostly in Lofa County in the northwestern part of Liberia with an estimated population of 108,000 people. These people also are located in Guinea with a population of 13,000 people. About 80% of the Bandi follow their traditional religion, 10% are Muslims, and 10% are Christians (statistics from the Joshua project). The Protestant churches are among the few churches established within the Bandi areas. These churches along with the Bible Society in Liberia translated the Bandi New Testament from which an audio recording has been made. These Scriptures are enhancing evangelism and promoting the growth of the church among the Bandi, thus creating the need for an Old Testament translation in Bandi to foster the work of the church.

Project Goal
The goal of this project is to ensure the translation of the Old Testament and the revision of the New Testament in the Bandi language; making the full Bible available to the Bandi churches and individuals.
